We had rough ideas and concepts of what we wanted to design in our backyard and Eoin’s ability to listen to our ideas brought them to life. He quickly understood what we were trying to achieve and came up with a few designs that encapsulated them. We took elements of each design and he brought it all together in a design that exceeded all of our expectations. Where Eoin truly exceeds is through his attention to detail when he draws up the final plans. He came up with incredible solutions to problem areas we hadn’t even identified (drainage etc). The builders who built the walls and laid the tiles were relieved when they saw they were working to Eoin’s drawings as they knew how particular he was with every element of the design which gave them increased assurance to how it would look in the end. He also designed and carried out the landscaping around the build. The result is incredible and well beyond what we had dreamed of. An extremely talented designer and would recommend him in a heart beat to anyone.
My partner and I felt our back garden was too ordinary and needed to be brought to life. So we got in touch with E.N. Garden Designs. Eoin did some measurements, advised us on plants and came back with a design that was right for our garden. Very professional throughout. My jaw nearly dropped coming home from work seeing the new garden. The transformation was spectacular! It’s quite a view every morning when having my tea and breakfast. Eoin Nolan of EN Garden designs was nothing other than professional to deal with. He was prompt with any appointments and very responsive in providing the final plan. We are a Main Contractor, involved in both Building and Civil Engineering in Ireland. We have employed, as a subcontractor/supplier, E.N. Garden Designs in the capacity of Landscape Subcontractor on several occasions. The scope of their employment included Consultancy, Design and Landscaping, both planting and supply, on a number of projects. In particular, they completed an important project for us in Lyonshall, Blackrock, Cork, in 2008. We confirm we have been very happy with the management and workmanship/materials provided by E.N. Garden Designs Ltd. They are a company lead by a qualified and very committed individual (Eoin Nolan), who clearly understands the needs of our company while operating in a very demanding industry.
Eoin was initially employed as a consultant for the design of a town garden at the Shambles in Bandon, Co. Cork. in 2007. He designed and created a unique inspirational garden to suit our development. Following the design he built the garden, supplied all plants, trees etc and has continued to maintain the garden to a very high standard. After the initial development Eoin and his company were involved in all our other developments around Cork. He showed a wonderful knowledge and understanding of the landscape and the environment and was ever conscious of same in his design and build. Eoin was always very versatile, co-operative and respectful of all personnel on the various sites. He showed great integrity at all times in the course of his work with us.

Although we moved into a newly built house, the garden was already planted. After a few years we wanted to stamp our own mark on the space and that’s when we met Eoin. Tackling the back garden first, we worked together to create an oasis of calm and a sense of space in an urban garden setting. The result was exactly what we were hoping to achieve and it has since become a regular talking point with visitors. The front garden redesign duly followed and again a sense of space was achieved by great positioning and planting. Having worked with Eoin over the past number of years, we have found him to be very hardworking, efficient and willing to take ideas and possible changes on board in the name of creating the perfectly designed and constructed garden space.
Having seen Eoin’s work first-hand following his redesign of my parents garden, I decided to challenge him with a blank canvas and a vision of a relatively maintenance-free garden. Following a few design consultations and tweaks we ended up with a completely transformed, inviting and exciting spacious garden which combines the best of flowing beds with minimal planting thus enabling the casual observer to appreciate the sense of space, calmness and to have a clear view of the specifically chosen plants.
I have a small backyard and found it hard to do anything with it for years. I wish I had found Eoin’s Company E.N. Garden Designs Ltd years ago. He came up with a great design that made the garden more spacious and functional. He was always punctual and delivered everything he promised. He is a perfectionist.
